A new closer pivot point follows the natural arc of your finger, while the dialed reach adjust puts the rider in a natural position to attack technical sections of trail. Redesigned SERVO WAVE optimizes the power curve and manages pad-to-rotor friction throughout the lever pull for better balanced braking, while SHIMANO's new low viscosity mineral oil keeps power consistent over a wider range of temperatures.

BR-M8220

The 4-piston, 2-piece BR-M8220 caliper is the strongest in the M8200 family, made to increase power, consistency, and control. New, low viscosity oil keeps the M8220 brakes' bite point consistent in all trail and weather conditions, and new brake pads eliminate rattling noise caused by vibration. Increased power and consistency give riders pin-point control on rough trails.
