ShockStop Suspension Stem
The patented ShockStop Suspension Stem smooths out road imperfections, reducing fatigue and strain. Whether you're on a local group ride, or exploring gravel back roads, the ShockStop Stem will make your ride smoother, faster, and more comfortable. If you have a Canyon, Giant or Scott bike, it may have an oversized steerer tube.
The minimal design of the ShockStop Stem blends seamlessly with the aesthetic of modern bikes, while reducing fatigue and strain. Along with the ShockStop Suspension Seatpost, this system works together to suspend the rider and smooth out rough terrain on the bike you already own, making your ride smoother, faster, and more comfortable. Great for bikepacking, gravel biking, road cycling and e-bikes.
Benefits of a Suspension Stem:
- Go farther - reduce fatigue from bumps and vibrations
- Ride faster - energy that is normally wasted suspending your body is converted into forward motion
- Take control - customize your suspension feel to float over obstacles and maintain control over rough terrain
- Effective suspension travel:
- Up to 20mm
- Includes 5 swappable elastomers to fine tune your riding style

How is the ShockStop Stem different from other suspension stems?
There are a lot of ways the ShockStop is different - so many in fact, we wrote a whole blog post about it. Check it out here.
How do I measure my steerer tube diameter?
The easiest way to determine your steerer tube size is to use a pair of calipers to directly measure the diameter or take your bike to the local bike shop and they will be able to measure it for you. Alternatively, most of the time a manufacturer will list this under their specifications in the Frame/Fork section. Make sure you are looking at the correct model year as these sizes can change year to year.
The 1-1/8" ShockStop Stem is the standard size used by most modern bikes. The 1-1/4” version can now be used on popular brands such as Giant and Canyon bikes, if you're unsure if you need a 1-1/4" size please email us at support@redshiftsports.com and we're happy to help.
