THE PURPOSE
With the 42 Limitless Gravel Aero, HUNT set out to develop the premier performance gravel wheelset, optimising gravel-specific aerodynamics through patented Limitless technology, and balancing those against another critically important attribute for riders moving fast over inconsistent surfaces: crosswind stability (steering moment). The recent proliferation of gravel races across the globe means riders are now rethinking their equipment selections and employing aerodynamically designed skinsuits, helmets, frames and wheels.
With industry-leading engineering and design talent in-house, HUNT aims to set a new standard for gravel-specific wheel performance.

WIND TUNNEL PROVEN
The wind tunnel data we recorded is shown against the full range of world-class aero wheels. The results below depict HUNT's standing among the range (the 3T Discus 45|40 was not available to test, as it was not released to the public when testing occurred).
Further results are shown in the white paper attached; the 42 Limitless Gravel Aero wheelset offers riders the benefit of industry-leading aerodynamics ahead of industry incumbents but balanced against the clearly superior stability as measured above.
KEY FEATURES
- Wind tunnel proven to offer the lowest aerodynamic drag among tested gravel-specific wheelsets under 50mm depth, offering the rider up to .12 Watt savings over renowned competitors, and 16.8 Watt savings over non-aero gravel wheels.
- Rims | Designed by HUNT's in-house engineering team, HUNT Limitless Technology delivers industry-leading cross wind stability verified by smooth steering moment data proven in wind tunnel testing. 700c, hooked 25mm internal and 36mm external widths, and a 42mm u-shape profile.
- Bearings | Featuring CeramicSpeed's world-renowned low-friction Coated Bearings, designed for off road use. These coated bearings are a further 75% tougher than their standard hardened steel races, and boast an average lifetime 7.5 times longer than other non-coated solutions. EZO bearing option also available.
- Tires | Designed around a 25mm internal rim width optimised aerodynamically for 38-42c gravel tires, these will work with any tire up to 54c. Fully ETRTO-compliant and tubeless-ready. Work excellently with both clincher and tubeless-ready tires.

Hubs | New Sprint SL straight-pull center lock hubs. 15mm diameter 6066-T6 body and axle for supreme strength-to-weight. Circular dropout interface steps for added security in fitment. 3x treble-tooth pawls, resulting in just 7.5˚ engagement. Steel spline inserts to protect the cassette body.

TIRES INFO
- For the 42 Limitless Gravel Aero HUNT recommend a 40mm tire for best performance, tire widths between 29mm and 64mm are also safe to use. You must not exceed the maximum tire pressure limits set out in the table below or the maximum limit set by your tire manufacturer if this is lower. Note: best performance is usually gained by using tire pressures lower than the maximum, you can see our blog post here about this.
- You must not exceed the maximum pressure stated on your tire.
- Suitable tubeless road, gravel and CX tires are available from a huge range of companies.
AXLE SIZES
These wheels are available with all existing disc brake road bike axle adapter sizes. We fit the axles you need, just complete the simple form shown after checkout:
